Four more days
As for knitting, thank goodness for Fred Meyer. Sometimes you've got to look for yarn in unusual places and Fred's actually has a decent selection. Lots of colors of Homespun at great prices, plus chenilles, baby yarns, and now they have variegated wool. I can't believe it. Perfect for felting!!! So I got enough yarn at their buy 2 get 1 free sale to make two birthday presents, though I may add another color to the variegated. Still a good shopping deal for me!!!! Now to plan those presents! I actually started one tonight and she doesn't know I have a blog, so I can talk about it. I'm making a drop stitch scarf out of a yarn called baby cloud for my work study student. Her birthday is Tuesday, so I've got some quick knitting to do. I've already knit about a foot of it and it's really cute. I'll put up pictures when I get it done. :)
Tomorrow's the big prep day for Savannah's arrival. I'll rearrange and deep clean the bedroom so there is plenty of room for her crate in there. And I'll clean her crate and make sure she's got plenty of easily washable bedding ready to go. Puppy, puppy, puppy, puppy, puppy!!!! Can't wait!!!!!

The Name Game
On knitting news, I got a new knitting book and daily calendar from Amazon today. I do all these surveys and things, so get gift certificates and cash that help feed my knitting obsession. Nice thing about this shipment...completely free thanks to several of these survey places. Free is always good! Anyway, I got "Big Girl Knits" and the "Stitch 'n Bitch" calendar. I don't like all the patterns in BGK, but the fitting section is awesome and would work for those who aren't BKs. As for the calendar, I tried to be good and not jump ahead, but there is some really fun stuff in their that should help make the addiction even worse over the next year. Now I've just got to get all the yarn for all the projects I've got to have done by the holidays. ACH!!!
Oh, my goodness, they found me already...

...and so it began
And what better time to start than with a soon-to-be new addition. We've already got two Cardigan Welsh Corgis, Libby (Prizm's Liberty Fanfare) and Ethan (Ch. C-Myste Mission Impossible), so now we'll be adding lucky number three. We haven't decided on a call name for her for sure yet, but her registered name will be Wolfrun White Lightnin'...another term for moonshine and fitting for the lovely little white streak she has across her right ear. I'll post pictures of them all as soon as I figure out exactly how that works! :)

Wolfrun White Lightnin' at 6 weeks in mid-September 2006
As for knitting, I started knitting in late December 2005. I love knitting bags...I've made about 6 so far. I've also made 4 scarves, a baby sweater and two pairs of socks. I always thought I'd be one of those one project at a time knitters...very atypical, but my sort of way of doing things. I was wrong, of course. Currently, I've got three projects on needles. I've got a wrap I found on the Lion Brand site going in Naturally Tussock, a sweater I also saw on there in Lion Homespun, and the second of a pair of gauntlets or mitts or whatever they're called from Knitty.com.
Well, I think that's enough to bore anyone for now...hopefully things will get a bit more exciting with time. :)
